I like Sparklehorse, I like David Lynch and not too long ago the two collaborated with Danger Mouse that guy who mixed together The Beatles' The White Album with Jay-Z's The Black Album and turned it into The Grey Album. He's also the other half of Gnarls Barkley who are best known for their hit song Crazy. So the three of them, Lynch, Sparklehorse and Danger Mouse worked on some music together with Lynch taking photographs inspired by the songs. For the songs to be recorded they asked the help from some other musicians such as The Strokes' Julian Casablancas (oh how I love his last name!), Nina Persson from The Cardigans and A Camp, as well as Suzanne Vega, Iggy Pop, and The Flaming Lips. However, the record company who was supposed to release the project pulled back with the result that the guys released the project onto the internet themselves and have started selling copies of both the album as well as the book of photographs from Lynch. So far I haven't been able to find a lot of those pictures, but I found some that I would like to share. So here you go. For more info on the project visit the official website. To listen to the album go here.
Pictures found here, here, here, here, and here.
