^%VILLA WON'T PLAY&$

Sorry to say Jasmine, but David Villa won't play the final. Apparently he suffered a muscle strain. They should still be able to win though.

^&BACK TO NORMAL$#

Being back home again, means going back to normal dinners. This is what we ate on, I think it was Wednesday. Not only I went back to eating normal, but also eating at our usual dinner time, which is between 5.30-6.30 here at my place. In Parkwood I most of the time either ate way too much or just a bit and I didn't have an exact dinner, lunch or breakfast time. Most of the time actually breakfast became lunch and dinner was around 7 or 8 and when studying hard at the library even at 10 pm. So it's good to have some real structure again, though I liked to not have everything planned out.

~^STRAWBERRIES FROM THE GARDEN(+

These are some strawberries from our garden at home. They're small, very small, but sweet. There weren't so many. It isn't as if we have this big plant. But it's nice to grow your own.

$%GET IN THE SUNRISE&^

Sorry for the lack of updates for the last two days. I have been going to the supermarket, sat outside and listened to a whole lot of music. Right now I'm still enjoying Albert Hammond, Jr.'s new record ¿Cómo Te Llama?. He's a member of The Strokes and his first album Yours To Keep was really nice and this new one is just as good if not better.

Also I finally have gotten the chance to really listen to Yeasayer's All Hour Cymbals. Thanks to Marion for introducing them to me by having me check out Sunrise. Apparently they describe their music as 'Middle Eastern-psych-snap-gospel', which is a pretty accurate description.

%^ESPAÑA CAMPEONES~#

So it was Spain against Russia last night and Spain won, as expected. Spain will meet Germany in the final and now all that has to happen is Spain has to win and then I'll be happy. They seem more than able to win this, so I hope they do. Hopefully David Villa will return for the final, well I'm sure he will, 'cause Torres is great, but last night he could have scored so many, but failed many times. And it would be nice for Jasmine, one of his biggest fans! :-)

&$GOOD LUCK CHUCKS~`

So I put my Green All Stars or Chuck Taylors in the washing machine today to get them to look cleaner and fresher than fresh again. Well, they survived, don't know if they look cleaner though. But it was cool seeing them spin around. They had a nice little bath. But I definitely need to buy new ones. The only thing is I'm not such a big fan of walking in and out of shoe stores. I just want to go to one store, find some that have the colour I want, the size and that sell them for the lowest possible price. I don't like to hop from shop to shop. Annoying. I know, complaining, complaining. At least the weather's nice. :)

!~RAFAEL VAN DER FART@^

My mother told me about this today after coming back from work so I looked it up on the internet. I didn't see it as it was during the match between The Netherlands and Romania and the match between Italy and Frnace seemed to be the one more interesting, so we watched that one at home. So we didn't see this clip that was shown during the match. It shows Dutch player Rafael van der Vaart on the bench with fellow Dutchies Wesley Sneijder, Joris Mathijsen en Nigel de Jong as he farts and the other guys tuck away in their shirts to escape the smell. Yuck! But oh well, it happens. We all do it. Look at the expression on van der Vaart's face though. Looks like a little kid being caught at doing something he isn't supposed to. Funny stuff. :)

*)CLOCKWORK ORANGE NO LONGER TICKS#$

So we both lost, The Netherlands and Italy. There goes our entire group. First Romania and France and now the other two. For the first time I was really supportive of our Dutch team, I guess I felt more connected to them in Canterbury then normally is the case. But on Saturday evening they reminded me once again why normally I'm not that supportive. Their game play was so slow. I wanted them to be dynamic and fresh like the Russians were, but apparently they didn't manage to bring back that fighting spirit that had brought them this far.

Yesterday Spain got through, which was very well deserved. Overall I liked watching the match as both teams really tried and especially the first half went by in no time. Lots of tears at the Italian's side. Well, they were world champions for a while. It's time for another team to shine. I think Spain has a pretty good chance to win Euro 2008 and I hope they do.

^^FULL FRIDGE#%

One of the great things of being back in NL, is that I can eat and drink stuff without worrying that in no time it will all be finished. It's not that I no longer care about money and stuff, but now I'm here I feel I don't have to worry anymore about too much money spent on food and drinks. In C I tried to not spend more than 20 pounds on groceries every week. And it kind of became a challenge to spend much less than 20 and even trying to stay underneath the 10 pound limit! It wasn't that I didn't have enough to eat though. You would be surprised how much you can get for 8 pounds when you shop at Tesco, and that in the UK, which is known to be expensive! So since I'm back I can drink as much fruit juice as I want instead of just doing one week with one package nomatter being it a 1 litre on or a 2 litre package. And all the fruit! Apples, bananas, kiwis (try to eat one every day you guys, it's full of healthiness!), grapes! All in one week. Makes me happy.

_+GIVE IT A CHANCE: ROBYN - ROBYN}}

Every now and then I listen to an artist which doesn't really seem to fit in my list of artists I like nowadays, but which have caused such a stir lately, that I can't help to give their album a chance and check it out. All the stellar reviews had me pretty curious, so now finally I decided to give Robyn's fourth, and sure to be her most successful album to date, a spin. It's a mix of pure pop with some R&B and occasionally rap by the singer songwriter. People who love pop will eat this record like cake and after some spins I can totally see why the record is receiving such critically acclaim aside from the non-critics loving the CD and I have to admit I quite enjoy it! M.I.A. is an example of those artists that are already on the edge considering my taste, but I just really happen to love M.I.A. and her crazy mix of styles which makes her sound so refreshing and original. I feel in comparison Robyn lacks that originality, but still it's a very solid pop album. If I like it, I'm sure people who love pop will eat this record like cake and have this CD stuck on repeat in no time (if they haven't already done so).

%$FIRST!@!

Here it is. A new home. Life after C. Ultra fun, the Wii. My brother has one and I went to play at his place this afternoon. It's funny, but very exhausting. Your eyes are fixed on the screen, lots of concentrating!!!

And check out Hercules And Love Affair if you like some electro. The group features Antony Hegarty (from Antony And The Johnsons!) on vocals. I have just added the album to my playlist so no idea if I end up liking it or not, but we'll see.

I like this picture of me and Amandine. It's nice. We both look good in it! Tsssssss ;-)
