=_LONG WEEKEND}%

So I had the most amazing Saturday on Sunday with Yeasayer, going out afterwards with a friend and staying at her place and then this morning hanging out. And now I find the new MGMT album has leaked so I'll take a listen! :DD
Yeasayer were great. They played about every song of the second album and instead of just playing them exactly as on the record they managed to give them a real live treatment with the result that the songs sounded even more fresh. They extended the best parts of some of the songs like with I Remember and they brought the ooohs and aaahs for songs like Madder Red (my favourite of Odd Blood). Chris Keating, I love this guy. He can do no wrong. He looked good he sounded good. When they returned for their encore they said they were going to do three more songs. First one was Grizelda and you could feel the slight dissapointment also from me. Like many others I think, I thought they had already played every song of their new album so now it was time for three All Hour Cymbals classics! I love Grizelda though, got nothing bad to say about that track, but I wanted some old stuff! But after Grizelda you knew there were only two more songs left to play and those were going to be Sunrise and 2080. When those two started Chris really came alive and his voice reached new heights. Mmmmmmmmmmm I could listen to him all day. The crowd was good, I was standing at the front with my friend and people around us were dancing. Everyone was very enthusiastic. I knew it was going to be good when I walked in at 7.30 pm and it was already very crowded. After songs like O.N.E. and Almbling Alp people went wild and also before the encore the crowd kept screaming for more. They're such a good live band and their mix of styles make for a very interesting night out. At times it was like being at a beach party or Vampire Weekend at Lowlands of last year. Would really love to see these guys again. I took a couple of pictures, not many, was too busy enjoing the gig, I'll post them another time. I'm at my parents' and I don't have the cable to connect my cam to my laptop here. Still no internet at my own place. Probably need to find a new someone who can provide me with a solid connection and more importantly, someone who I can trust to be pay the bills on time!

Some people made videos, this is one of them

On June 29th Wolf Parade might release a double album or an LP plus EP! :DDD They say they've recorded like 80 minutes of new material and want to release all of it as they feel every song is worth releasing! Can't wait, you know how much I love my Wolf Parade ;D

Spring has officially started. Weather is good. Been wearing shorts and sleeveless shirts. Summer can't come to soon

No internet has meant no Chat Roulette, a good thing

);LAST WEEK*.

Tomorrow we're going on an excursion, I'm excited about it, last time was great fun so I expect nothing less this time either! It's been a hectic and busy week, tired and still can't keep away from Chat Roulette even though I start disliking the site!

Last week we had another evaluation and this is what my presentation looked like. You can't really tell from the pictures, but I build this space using white sheets to make it look like a kind of small art gallery featuring the pieces I made these last couple of weeks. I had a 'good' by the way, which is the highest you can get, it's going well! ;)

You NEED to see this video for Rodarte. Model Guinevere van Seenus is perfect in this. The look in her eyes so powerful, wow, love her!

:_WHERE'S THE MEN'S COLLECTION?±'

I've been somewhat quiet lately, not because I'm Chat Roulette addicted (forgot all about the site!) but because I had Couchsurfers crashing at my place for four nights. They're from Québec, bu they had been travelling for already six months, so before arriving in my city they were in Germany. Really nice people, very kind, full of life, really sweet. So I've been hanging out with those two kids for the last couple of days, but they left this morning so I'm getting back to my old life. It's almost as if I've been on vacation myself. Also, my dad's back in the hospital, but everything's fine, at least for now. Lot of things going on, feels as if it's the weekend already, but not yet!

Such a cool style!!
I demand a men's collection NOW!

;(STILL OBSESSED!+

I'm still obsessed with Chat Roulette, I even call it CR now, for short you know. Just can't help it, it's just too fun. What it is I'm looking for? I don't know, no idea why I keep coming back there. You tell me. Last night I happened to meet a friend of mine from the UK on CR! The chances for this to happen I predict are very small, but it happened! I didn't know he was on and he didn't know 'bout me, so it was kind of like we found each other out for not being able to resist this site.

For everyone who hasn't been on there and has no idea what I'm talking bout, here's an explanation

Chris Keating I love you, see you soon :D

Just the other day my mum told me I should try putting red laces into my Doc Martens after I changed them from black laces to white. Would give me even more of an edge she said. I was a bit skeptical and kind of brushed it off. But now I see the following pictures from the General Idea runway show and those boots with red laces look damn good, so I think I'm gonna find myself a pair and do the same. So fashion forward my mother is ;)

Overall this collection is very good. Nice to see those long john/tights kind of jeans/trousers combined with shorts. Ive been doing that for quite a while :) Would love to have some long johns/tights with a nice print though, but where to find those?

You know when you start listening to an album just out of curiosity and without any expectations at all and then the album turns out to be crazy good. This is what happened to me and the latest Pantha Du Prince album Black Noise. The entire album has such a nice sound, love it from beginning to end. Great mood. Only one song with vocals by Animal Collective's Panda Bear, and it kind of feels as if this whole album is build around this one song. It's strange how similar all these tracks sound and yet they still manage to set themselves apart and stand on their own. I'll be having this on repeat for a couple of days more I bet.

Now let's go paint and not get anywhere near Chat Roulette!!!!!!!

]_A SOFT PACK>%

Chat Roulette is still ruining my life a little, don't ask me how I've been able to get myself to Paradiso last night to see The Soft Pack, but I did. 'Cause I was chatting to this girl who turned out to live in Den Haag (The Hague) and we spoke for quite a long time and when we ended out conversation I only had 15 minutes left to get ready before I had to go out to catch my train on time. It was a pretty quiet gig, that's how it felt. I walked in some minutes after ten and the band was still doing their soundcheck. Even though it seemed pretty crowded, at the front there was hardly anyone standing, so I didn't even have to go through great lengths to get there. I was a bit dissapointed about this, 'cause I knew this meant most of the people who showed up were there more to hang out with friends drinking a beer while checking out this band they may or may not know. Seemed there weren't that many passionate fans or at least people who mainly go for the music and watch this band perform live. So I could already foresee that this wasn't going to be Japandroids or Good Shoes kind of cool even though The Soft Pack's tunes are very catchy and could make for a crowd going wild, but instead the crowd were a rather soft pack, how appropriate. I did dance a bit, especially to my favourite songs such as Answer To Yourself. Most of the dancing happened either on my side (I was standing at the right) or on the left side, not that much in the middle. Seemed a lot of people had not really checked out the album properly which became clear when they played Mexico. I really enjoy that song, but it appeared to me I was the only one who knew it together with another girl dancing to my left. Hockey, this other band played a gig before The Soft Pack and I believe some of the members walked into the crowd at some point to have a look, standing in front of me. They were quite tall and wore hats so they kind of blocked my view a bit :( Hockey is pretty cool too, but way more poppy. They're all fun and don't sound too serious so I don't expect that much from them in the near future. Having listened to The Soft Pack's album a lot more these last couple of days I'm surprised they aren't more popular, 'cause compared to Hockey I would predict a very bright future for these guys, they're actually good and sound quite refreshing. They should have gained buzz in a The Drums kind of way. Last night was alright, nothing spectacular but I enjoyed myself. I don't think I'll go to another gig before March 20th, one of the most important dates this year as I'll be seeing Yeasayer that night! Plus it's my mum's birthday, but mainly it's about Yeasayer ;) Sorry mum

%>ME AND MISS ALBA)+

The other night I think I saw the Jonas Brothers. Didn't care 'bout them, but just right now I saw miss Jessica Alba

Chat Roulette is popular damnit

#~AFTERNOON AT THE MUSEUM*&

I'm happy to tell that I'm not gonna be a Chat Roulette addict!! If I tell myself no, it's no. I'm disciplined enough. Right now though I am Chat Rouletting :D but in some minutes I'm leaving to Amsterdam to visit a museum and perhaps watch a movie at one of the cinemas!

But right now I'm suspended for 10 minutes from the site so I can't use the 'next' button. I used the word 'penis' which is not allowed apparently. I mentioned it in a sentence to this French girl explaining her how random this site was and how yucky all these guys showing off their penis, there are quite a lot of them. But you just click 'next' and hope you won't end up getting nightmares while you sleep :p

&#FUTURE ADDICT:_

I've basically been chat rouletting all day (!!!!!!) :(( I fear for my non-chat roulette life... Hopefully this addiction won't last long!

,=CHAT ROULETTE&/

Apparently this site is all the rage right now according to a newspaper article I read about it. And usually I'm not one who likes to follow hypes, unless I just happen to have already known about it before it became all fashionable and stuff. But this site is pretty cool and something you just might want to experience, because in a way there's nothing else like it. Just as with all hypes it can get very addictive real quick but there's a good chance that addiction won't last for longer than a week or so, as with most hypes. But who knows, perhaps this one lasts. What's interesting about it is that you meet a random person face to face, it's almost like speeddating (not that I've ever done that, but I think it's similar) or going on a blinddate (never did that either) and both you and the other person can decide to start a conversation or just click on the 'next' button and the site will then randomnly select a new person for you. So far I met a really nice guy from Paris who makes pretty cool music with a friend and who draws. He's been to art school which is cool 'cause I'm in art school right now. So that's a very positive and nice conversation I had with just a regular normal type of guy. There are people, however, who use Chat Roulette for complete different reasons. Some might look to find the one, others just want to see a hot boy/girl, there are dirty old men and probably women too who like to appear naked on their cams or flashing their boobs for you :) You have to be up for that. If you can't take that then this site isn't for you. Just don't take it too seriously and well, just click 'next' when something like that occurs. What's also nice is to see the reaction from people at seeing you first time. If you can use a selfesteem boost you might want to visit the site 'cause it already happenend to me that I stared face to face in to they eyes of a girl or several girls whose instant reaction were smiles and typing things like 'hiyaaaa' or 'hey cutie'. That can be quite nice if you need it. :DD But I have a feeling there aren't a lot of regular guys using the site and these girls might have looked straight into the eyes of several old hairy naked men before they saw me, so of course then yes, when they see me they are all relieved and think, ooooh, a normal guy! Hooray and they get all excited. One thing that is very important is having a good internet connection cause after chatting to the French guy mine happened to become less and less stable so my cam kept freezing and I couldn't continue a conversation with a very blue eyed Parisian boy (see picture above), two girls (or girl and boy wasn't sure about one) who really liked my smile, and a couple from Ohio who were both 22, though to me they looked older. So if you get attached to people very quickly watch out with this site. Because if your connection fails you and you haven't exchanged e-mail or names so you can add each other on a site like Facebook, you might never stare into the other person's eyes again. I, for example, can get attached pretty quickly and you don't want to get in desperation mode re-conneceting to the site over and over again hoping the site randomnly selects that same person again you chatted with the night before but whom you lost because your cam froze. So be careful. Other than that it can make for a really nice experience. It's very confronting and puts you in an awkward position. It often happens that both you and the other person keep quiet for a bit at first especially when this person looks like a regular person you meet on the street and who doesn't seem to have any weird intentions and if you aren't used to using webcam while chatting, like me, it can make you feel self-conscious a bit too. I for one don't really know where to look. At my cam, at the other person's cam, or just keep my eyes on the typing board?? I'll probably use the site a couple more times this week even though I could spend my time on much more important things!

I got my Foals ticket YES!! So I'm offically going. Best gig of the year already :DDD
