=$ÁRA BÁTUR(+

I'm listening to Sigur Rós right now and already I feel a bit scared. I wasn't even feeling sad or anything, but now... I took sort of a nap and when I awoke I found myself in Ára Bátur and apparently sometimes I don't want to be alone while listening to Ára Bátur. And my head fills up with thoughts about tomorrow and tomorrow will be another day all by myself. And it's not like I'm constantly all by myself, when I go to work it's nice 'cause I get to talk to people, but it seems that isn't the same as really being with someone and right now I do feel really alone. I'll miss going to school on Saturday. In a couple of months I'll go there every day, but it's still a bit far away. There's still an entire summer vacation to survive. And I'm not that good with summer vacations. Always makes me feel the entire world is going on vacation with family or hangs out with friends, except for me. It always feels like such an effort not to end up feeling like I'm the one left all by himself.
So this is what Jónsi & co. do to me. I probably won't cry tonight 'cause that never happened to me before so I'm not expecting it to happen ever, not even tonight. Though it's said to be rather epic and very magical. I can't wait to see it but I have a feeling it would be nice if a lot of people would be able to hold my hand tonight even just for one song

The sun's not helping either you know, days like these are meant to be rainy days. Last Sunday seeing Joanna was perfect 'cause it was raining and I felt like I could hide, but today. No shelter

!}I KILLED MY DINNER WITH KARATE[.

It's another rainy morning, which I like, so much better than a sunny day. Makes me feel calm and safe. Like you can hide yourself in the gloomy air. Yesterday I had a wonderful evening seeing Joanna Newsom perform with her band as well as Mr. Roy Harper who had the pleasure of opening the night with his brilliant guitar playing and storytelling way of singing, took the audience into his wonderful world of stories about war, the sun and the moon, and he and his woman. Mr. Harper looks like such a kind, warm, gentle person. A very charming man and I loved his facial expressions. You can see he plays with love and is passionate about his art. Joanna and her band were wonderful as well. Joanna seems very free spirited and came on stage with such enthusiasm. Like Mr. Harper she too plays with so much love and devotion. I loved how when just after she appeared and she finished her last sentence she immediately and quite unexpectedly started her first song of the evening which left me with no time to inhale another fresh breath of air before the start of the song. So the entire song my mouth was left open astonished by the beauty that had all of a sudden filled the space. It was truly magical and very very special. The band added so much, giving it a kind of theatrical feel sometimes sounding almost like those old radio plays you used to hear on the radio where a story is being told and sound comes in to enrich the words. Each song started with just Joanna on harp or piano and then as the song progressed ('cause you know, most of her songs are pretty long, like a journey) the other instruments joined in and brought the song even more to life. But I really loved how they kept the songs dynamic, going from parts with lots of instruments to quieter moments with just Joanna and the harp/piano. I also loved how during some songs three of the musicians used their hands to make clapping sounds and to me the banjo is always a welcome addition. Nothing but love for the banjo! ;) It was unlike any other concerts I've been to, 'cause usually I stand and look up at the stage whereas now I was seated with the result that the stage was on eye level, making for a competely different perception from what I'm used to. The sound was perfect, so clear, flawless. And you could notice people sitting in awe and some carefully drying those tears running down their cheeks. I'm now looking forward to seeing Jónsi even more. I've heard a lot of great things about him as well so on Thursday I'm in for another night full of magic. And its not even my birthday

No pictures from the concert. I think you weren't allowed to or maybe not allowed to flash, but this was so special I didn't want to ruin anything for the people sitting next to me by taking pictures all the time and making clicking camera sounds. So here's a non-related image instead ;)

^#C.R.A.Z.Y. AKA MY LIFE SO FAR)_

LOVE this film. Only the second time I've seen it, this time it was even better and I could relate to the main character Zac even more than I did the first time. Especially because of the transformation I feel I've been going through, particularly the first months of this year. Zac and I we're so much alike and (almost) everything he goes through I've been going through at a certain point in my life or am going through right now. I made a post when I saw it first time. You can find that one here. Never cried so much during one film :D And I mean, I never cry during films

Still some of the best couple of minutes ever captured on film, or at least, that's what I think

I'm seeing Joanna Newsom tonight.

I normally don't care much about football (for instance, I haven't been watching the Champions League finale) but this is one hell of an advert. Directed by the great Alejandro González Iñárritu

^(LIKE THE PHOENIX FROM THE ASHES)_

The night Marion and I went out dancing she decided I could use some eyeliner :D so that's how I all of a sudden joined the eyeliner or 'guy'-liner club! Well, there isn't a club, as least not as far as I know, but let's just pretend there is. So now I'm an eyeline bitch like Jared Leto, Kurt Cobain, Gael Garcia Bernal, Johnny Depp (when he's Mr. Jack pirate), Devendra Banhart, Brandon Flowers and all those other rock/punk dudes! :P

Yesterday I bought my own eyeliner pencil and of course after I paid at the checkout the woman who handed me my pencil threw a rather bewildered look at me :P

Seems it works best when you look a bit spaced out or make crazy faces, you don't want to end up like a pretty girl you know ;)

I got really bad skin :(

Nope I did not lose my mind :D

More pictures from Lille and Bruxelles. Some taken by me, some by Marion

%#I'VE COME A LONG LONG WAY*(

Today it's mother's day so I'm at my parent's place, obviously.
Thursday I'll be in LILLE! :P

Let's talk about clothes that I want or looks that I like or something.
I still have a bit of trouble breathing...

I've been wanting a hat like the one this guy wears for quite a long time. Perhaps Marion can help me out! :)

And I love shorts and the pants the kid wears in the picture below. It's soft and kind of like the long john I have, kind of...

Of course this kid is not carrying the rug with him when walking outside, but it all matches quite well, doesn't it? Love the bordeaux sweater and the high cut jeans.

I'm a sucker for wearing shorts over a jeans or long john or pants. Dude looks cool. Good and simple use of colour.

Very simple, but what I like most is how long and straight it looks. And it just fits this kid real well. Well proportioned.

Found this one via Lookbook once. It's such a good eye popping raincoat. Sometimes one great item already makes for a really cool outfit and all you need is some nice and simple shoes and socks to finish things off.

I don't know if dude is wearing two pants or one high cut pants and a long one underneath or just long socks. But there's something happening right under the back of his knees.

I just love that kind of print this kid has on his pants and the black long socks or long john go very nicely with the black boots. And the way he wears his shirt as if the wind is blowing it open into a triangle form. Well done.

I've finally been falling in complete love with Beach House and I'm about to fall harder for Joanna Newsom than I ever did before. Why is it so expensive to see her??! I have a job now and all, so who knows, I'll go and see her! Besides, first year at the HKU I plan on doing the Bachelor in Fine Art but the teacher one, so that will cost me 1600 instead 7600 euros.

Oh Joanna...

This is when Beach House did a Black Cab Session, almost got teary eyed...

Victoria's voice is just too good

And this little band called Patch William is quite good also, they caught my attention because of the singer :P

)_FEELING CREATIVE"+

Woke up way too early for a Sunday, had to many ideas for an assignment for school that I just couldn't catch any sleep once I opened my eyes. But it's alright 'cause I had to be early anyway, this morning the first bunch of tickets for Lowlands can be bought. I haven't been to any other music festivals in this country but I have a feeling Lowlands really is the coolest one of all. Last year I went there for the first time and loved it. Sleeping in a tent, no showering, having music for breakfust, lunch and dinner. What else could I ask for?

Let's post pictures 'cause I like posting pictures! Lots of them
I'm sorry for always posting pictures of extremely pretty boys and girls, I know this is not what we all look like. It's not my fault though, blame the photographers! :)

This pictures is just wow
Makes me think of Eva Green in The Dreamers

The new Joanna Newsom album has leaked and I love it! She's not one of the most accessible musicians to listen to, especially because of her voice, it's something you have to get used to. But once you do you'll appreciate her. This new album seems much softer than her previous work, even though I'm not too well known with her first albums. It's very gentle, makes me feel at ease with the world. Plus, her voice has changed quite a bit due, apparently, to her developing vocal chord nodes! I think I like both her old as well as her new singing voice, but I'm sure her new voice will attract more listeners and gain her some new fans
