$&MEN DEVELOP BRAINS WHEN THEY HAVE FAILED IN EVERYTHING ELSE:_

I'm packing all the stuff that I made for school over the years into boxes or rolling them up like drawings and things. The car's gonna be full!

I want this guy's legs. Just look, so thin!!! And not just the lower part but the upper part as well. I always find my tighbones to be a bit thick

Larry is the only one on his street from The Facehunter Show on Vimeo.

Haha, looking too gayish fashiony and saying it with the cutest French accent ever, love Yvan!
I know too well about straight guys being misrecognized as gay because of the way they dress. But true, not all gay guys dress well and not all straight guys lack imagination. You just can't tell...

So this Larry chap has a blog right here

')GOOD JOB_+

Okay, let's not get too excited here, but seriously, I like my job :D Well, at least when I actually get people who answer the phone. Most of the time you keep dialling and no one picks up. In a way, and I know it's kind of a stupid comparison, but in a way it's like Chatroulette, you never know who you gonna speak to. At first it started to be annoying when you keep dialling but noone answers, but after my break I decided to draw a bit to pass the time which I enjoyed and makes the waiting a lot more bearable. My colleagues are fun and the overall atmosphere is very relaxed and chill, supervisors are really there to help, it's not at all strict. And they put a lot of trust in you which shows, 'cause you can decide for yourself when you take your 15 minute break, there's no real time at which you can take a pause. So it seems I'll be able to last here for longer than four shifts. And right now I feel so much better, I feel excited and ready to start something, it really has stimulated me and gave me a fresh look on things. Basically, I'm happy :)

Apart from Mr. Slimane, Yvan Rodic aka The Facehunter went to Coachella as well and made a video

$^YVAN RODIC)_

Have to clean the bathroom, want to watch a film both at home as well as at the cinema, need to make some drawings and buy a present for my brother. Plus I want to work on my French. Busy agenda.

Found this interview with Yvan Rodic aka The Facehunter on Dazed Digital

Dazed Digital: So tell me what to do? Should I smile?
Yvan Rodic: I don’t like to tell people to smile, it looks to cheesy. (A nervous laughter escapes me).

DD: Pulling my hands out of my pockets I ask what I should do with them?
Yvan Rodic: Pull out a cigarette and start smoking, it sounds cliché I know, but it’s one of the most relaxed positions from a photographic stance. People are generally at ease when they are smoking.

DD: How long have you been the Face Hunter?
Yvan Rodic: Three and a half years.

DD: Are you sick of taking photos yet?
Yvan Rodic: I could never get sick of it. It changes every day.

DD: What camera do you use?
Yvan Rodic: Canon G10. I like to be inconspicuous. I don’t want a big lens gaining me unwanted attention.

DD: How many cameras do you own?
Yvan Rodic: Originally, I only had one camera (Canon G9) but it broke two weeks ago so I bought this new one.

DD: What do you think of all the fashion blogs saturating the net?
Yvan Rodic: I think it’s great that anybody who has access to the internet can use it as a medium to express their thoughts and opinions. It doesn’t matter whether you are a young fashion-enthusiast, Susie Lau, Bryan Boy or even a 13 year-old girl who has a great knowledge of the fashion world.

DD: Are you referring to Tavi? What do you think of her?
Yvan Rodic: Yes I am. I don’t like her style.

DD: What is your opinion on the The Sartorialist? Do you draw similarities between your respective works?
Yvan Rodic: His style is very classic and more businessy. The subjects of his photos are often editors walking into a fashion show who are wearing very expensive outfits. Whereas I take photos of the people standing outside the show whose outfits weren’t necessarily created by a high-end designer. Often we are at exactly the same shows but we interpret them differently because we are interested in completely different subjects.

DD: Are Paris and Milan the fashion capitals?
Yvan Rodic: Paris and Milan are definitely not the most fashionable places in the world. People think that just because Paris has Paris Fashion Week that it must be the Mecca of fashion. This is not true. Paris is merely a base where the global fashion community meet. The majority of people that I take photos of were from Russia or Sweden or New York but not Paris. Paris fashion is so bland, people like to label it effortless but it’s just boring monotone outfits. Not inspiring at all.

DD: Do you let people see the photos once you take them?
Yvan Rodic: Yes

DD: Do people ever say no?
Yvan Rodic: Of course. But people are always going to say ‘no’, no matter what you are doing.

DD: Where are you from?
Yvan Rodic: I’m still trying to figure that out. No, Switzerland, near the French Alps.

DD: How does the element of travel affect you?
Yvan Rodic: The aspect of travelling means I have lots of different lives. I know people in lots of different countries and I make sure I don’t just befriend ‘expats’, but actually those from the country. You gain a greater understanding and insight into a culture through its people. Where are you from?

DD: Melbourne.
Yvan Rodic: I went there last year, I really like Melbourne fashion. A lot of people just think that Australians are surfers and only wear surfer clothes but the fashion there is quite progressive. Even though the weather is quite warm, people still dress well and not solely for the climate.

DD: So you don’t think climate has a great impact on fashion?
Yvan Rodic: In general, the more North you go the more you'll see conceptual fashion versus the South where sexiness is often confused with style. But this is not an absolute rule. Hot Indonesia and Australia for instance are much more creative in terms of style than cold places like Canada or Norway.

Would you get involved in projects solely to further yourself?

Yvan Rodic: Yes. Working with well known companies opens a lot of doors and allows you to do your own projects further down the line.

The Face Hunter will be travelling the world taking photos for Lacoste, before ending up in São Paulo to photograph the final event in December.

It has to be made clear though that this site is more about style than the clothing. Sometimes the hair of the person photographed can add so much to the clothing he/she wears or just the way the picture is taken. It's not just about the clothes more 'bout personality, personal style

Should be pretty obvious that I love his hair, right? ;)

This guy has a blog but I don't remember what it is called :(

Pelayo from Kate Loves Me. I really dig his style

Coco Rocha, that you? Don't think so but she definitely looks like her

I'm going to bed early today. They apparently going to call me tomorrow. The thing is that today everyone who auditioned had to call them. If one of the 12 chosen ones would not call it would mean there is a spot left. We were able to call until 5pm today. So you would think they would know by now if there is a spot left yes/no. What's there to wait. Why tomorrow?! They didn't have time to call me anymore today?? I don't get it. I don't like the way they're treating me right now letting me wait so long. Making it seem there still is a possibility when I know tomorrow they will call me back starting by saying 'Unfortunately...'. Sucks.

%*EXHAUSTED AFTER A VERY LONG DAY_&

So I decided to have a look at the play the students put together who have been at the school I want to attend even though I'm not yet sure if the school will accept me. I'll find out about that on Monday, but I'm really not sure. This is what I hate. Now that I went and was allowed to go through to the second round I want it more than anything. It's like someone is waving a bate in front of my eyes but without handing it over to me. They have something I want and might not be able to get. And it's frustrating and it kills. But during that singing course of today, how much I wanted to crawl into a corner and cry like a little puppy. It was as if all hope was washed away in one instant. It's like I was so close, I could have gotten it, but I had to screw up for some reason. I was singing way to high and wasn't able to correct myself, I didn't know how to. I sang all the false notes (!). :D It was actually a bit embarrassing. But all of this didn't hold me from watching the play these students had put together and wow, it was really good. Very energetic, very well played. It's fun to see some of these kids I had seen that day before but who seemed just like any other person and then at night they turn into these great great actors. Brilliant. I think it's a good thing I saw it after the audition else I would have wanted all this even more and the audition would have become way more frustrating than it already was. It has been such a long day, I'm exhausted, stressed, happy and sad at the same time, annoyed, frustrated, dissapointed and yet I still feel I can take on the entire world and nothing can put me down.

June 9th, finally after a very long wait the Facehunter show will be back. Here's a preview:

A romantic conversation with Peaches from The Facehunter Show on Vimeo.

And yes last night I saw Phoenix in Club Trouw which is an amazing venue. Had never been there before but it's so beautiful even the toilets look real cool. :) Overall the building has a real industrial feel to it. I love the high ceiling and the narrow space which is so long it almost feels like a tunnel. Only thing that made me feel rather uncomfortable for some reason was the stage. Normally I'm used to a really high stage, but this one is low. So you really have this complete different point of view. I don't know, it made me feel nude in a way. Like I was more separated from everyone else than normally. I didn't feel the people around me. It could be that the people around me and especially behind me didn't stand that close to me which is why I felt that way. I guess I prefer feeling the crowd breathing in my neck, being surrounded by all these people with their arms stretched up. 'Cause I have to say I hoped from the very first song people would go crazy, but they didn't really. At least not where I was standing. I felt it could have been because the crowd seemed to consist of more mature people. I feel Phoenix is a band that doesn't have these die-hard groupie fans. Young girls who go totally crazy and scream at every concert. A good example of this were the many times Thomas Mars, Phoenix lead singer, was hanging over the crowd. Normally people would have screamed Aaaah and put their hands up hoping to touch the guy. But here not at all and I can tell 'cause I was standing completely at the fron with Mr. Mars right in front of me. They were very respectful in that sense. Anyway, the band played extremely well. They were so good live. They played songs from the new album and some of their classics including If I Ever Feel Better. They didn't play Fences though, a song from the new album I really like, but then again I like every song on there. But I have a feeling Mr. Mars decided to mix things up and skip Fences to replace it with If I Ever Feel Better instead. Because when they came back on stage to do two more songs after they went off and the people started to applaud and scream, Mars walked to the other guys and told them something. And when they started to play If I Ever Feel Better and the crowd responded with great enthusiasm it seemed Mars was like, I told you so, as if he knew the crowd would appreciate it so much when they would play that song and it would be another highlight of the night. So I had a really cool night out and discovered this great new venue where you can also eat. There's this restaurant next to the concert area. I would love to see them again, but please next time start on time. It's not that bad when you plan on playing at 21.30 but start a little after 22.00, but take in consideration that the people who come to see you are already at the venue at least around 21.00. So it definitely felt like a long wait. More so than usually.

&%LET'S TALK FASHION AND LOOK AT MODELS"}

You know that right right behind my knowledge of film comes my knowledge of fashion? Well, perhaps it's a split second together with music. Because if you would tell me about Inez van Lamsweerde & Vino or mention a random name like Daul Kim, this would actually ring a bell. Visiting sites and blogs about the fashion industry and its models on a daily basis I've gained quite a lot of knowledge, or at least, I happen to know more about it than most ordinary people do. There's just something about it. It's one of those industries where all aspects of art come together. It's photography, design, modelling. It can be video, fashion used in art installations. All of those things. It's magazines, clothing, billboards, commercials. I could go on and on. Sometimes I think I should become a model scout, 'cause I think I have a pretty good eye for noticing who could be a potential model which isn't so strange when you look at a lot of people everyday who are models. So when I walk down the street I can separate the random pretty girls from those who are truly extraordinary. Same for the boys. Anyway I just felt the need to share pictures of models and clothing I like. Just because.

I don't like the entire shoot, but this shot I like. First of all, because I seem to have a weak for backshots, but just look at the framing, the position of Raquel. The way she poses with her head down, the way she has put down her hands. The use of colour. It's a good picture. Raquel Zimmermann is one of the most well known female models in the industry today and definitely the one that's still most successful. Most people know about Kate Moss and Gisele Bündchen who have gained world fame, but when it comes to doing editorials, runway shows, campaigns, Zimmermann is still one of the most sought after models. She's at the top and has been for quite a long time already. Pictures by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, styling by George Cortina. Yes, 'cause styling is very crucial. I often show my love for photographers, but their models and if they happen to have worked with stylists as well, add a crucial lot to the image. At times it even makes me wonder if some of Hedi Slimane's pictures interest me because the way they're photographed or if it's just the model, the subject of the picture, that truly draws me in and makes the picture for me a good one. I guess it's a working together of both, a mix, but at times it's hard to tell what exactly makes me value a picture so much.

Freja Beha Erichsen has done a recent shoot for Vogue Nippon. I especially like this picture. For some reason I always happen to confuse her with Coco Rocha. I guess it's a name thing.

This is an older image. Can't even remember where I found it. Don't know who took it or in which magazine it appeared. But I would love to wear what this guy wears. I really would. I'm one of those people who has nothing against male tights. They've appeared at some fashion shows and I think they actually look good. You just have to think they're the ultimate of skinny jeans. ;) Them boots! LOVE

The clothing style of these guys you either love or hate. I'm with love. More tights!

I think I found the above picture via Streetpeeper. Not sure though.

I love love LOVE this one picture below. It features model Jonathan Kroppmann.

Found this kid via Hel Looks, a blog dedicated to fashion on the streets of Helsinki. I think it's a guy 'cause it says the kid is named Achilles, but you can't really tell can you? At least, the way he dresses has made me unsure. It seems it's a guy though, so let's assume he's a he. Anyway, I love the sweater.

I used to think those designer clothes models can be seen wearing during fashion shoots were so outrageous and over the top you would never find them on the street nor wouldn't I think anyone would want to wear those clothes. Nowadays I'm a complete different person and everything I see I would not mind to wear it at all. And since the existence of blogs like The Sartorialist and Facehunter street style has come to the fore and it becomes more and more clear that there are a lot of fashion forward people out there on the street who do actually go out in runway type of clothing or layer it up, making combinations which to some might seem weird.

Roisin Murphy for example doesn't mind wearing this dress, if that's what you can call it, I think the word dress does not do justice to it as it far exceeds what is generally known as a dress. This is like wearable architecture. Gareth Pugh is the guy who made it and I guess I can say he's a real fashion darling. He does menswear as well, but those pieces have not yet come any close to the greatness that Miss Murphy showcases in the picture below. Singer Beyoncé Knowles also has worn some of Pugh's pieces as can be seen in her Diva video.

Found via The Sartorialist I think. This kid has a cool style. Love them boots. And yup, it's a guy. :)

These two pictures are from the same shoot it seems, but again, I don't remember where they're from, but it features two models I like, Josh Beech and Jourdan Dunn. Both from the UK.

Request Models and Red are probably two of my favourite agencies, 'cause they keep bringing up these models who have their own uniqye style apart from having already a very distinct look. Especially most of their male models aren't the pretty type. You would not expect some of these guys being able to model. That's a misconception, the idea that you have to be beautiful to be a model. It often happens that interesting is chosen over beautiful. Though, there are of course those people who look almost perfect, if there's ever such a thing, and of whom you're like, yup, you were born to model. But Request and Red seem to prefer those with a more interesting look.

An example is Yuri for Request:

Cole Mohr for Request. This guy seems to be really fun but very hyper in real life. He got a really cool look though. :)

The above picture came from COACD which is a cool blog by casting director Douglas Perrett.

If someone wants to buy me this blue Burberry trenchcoat Mr. Mohr can be seen wearing in the picture below it would be very much appreciated! Love that colour of blue. Makes my mouth water.

Dan felton for Red:

Picture by Ryan Pfluger, found here on the Red blog.

I have to say though, that I would never ever trade my appearance for anyone else's. I'm extremely happy with the way I look. :p So don't think me seeing all these great looking people has a negative effect on me and my self image.

Tyler Riggs for Red. One of the most sought after male models. He works a lot. Reid Prebenda who's also with Red, is a very successful model as well.

Tyler Riggs got class. Anyone who wants to buy the red piece of clothing he showcases so well in this picture feel more than free to do so. That colour red is so nice. Yum.

Photographed by Nagi Saki, styling Tyron Machhausen. More of Tyler here.

Other favourites of mine are Ash Stymest, Luke Worrell and Chris Pulliam.

One of my favourite female models is Lakshmi Menon. She looks so sophisticated. She's stunning.

Mariacarla Boscono has turned into a favourite of mine because she's so versatile. Sometimes I don't even recognize her. I really like this picture of her she did for the Pucci campaign as well as this one for Moschino.

And a lot of people might not have been aware they knew such a successful model as Daria Werbowy. 'Cause I'm sure those who shop at H&M, or just have walked by one of the stores, have seen her face many times. She was at Raquel Zimmermann's level just a while ago. She's still very successful now though. But a while ago she was it. This woman might be my favourite female model. She's extremely beautiful and so unique looking. She's heaven really. :D Could never get enough of those eyes.

And as you can see her now at the H&M stores posing in the latest Matthew Williamson H&M campaign:

I love Eniko Mihalik as well and not just because of her name. This is a cover she did for i-D Magazine. She's one of those girls I kind of witnessed making it to the top seeing first only some polaroid pictures of her then some editorials and became one of the few models who really are able to stick around and truly make a name for themselves.

Iekeliene Stange is Dutch and has a really good fashion sense herself. She's also an artist and recently had an exhibition of some of her work.

Others I like are Amanda Laine and Arlenis Sosa.

Both Kendra Spears as well as Sean O'Pry have shown that it's not at all a bad thing to have a profile on a social networking site, 'cause both were discovered through MySpace.com

Kendra Spears. Some don't like her because of her mole:

Sean O'Pry. Like Daria, you can often find him at the H&M :)

And just for fun, Mr. Patrick Wolf for Burberry together with Agyness Deyn! Yup, he modelled. Not professionally, but I guess he was asked just for fun. He has the height though. Not great modelling looks, but he looks good. This is already from 2007 or something I believe.

I often visit the blog of JD Ferguson called JDvision. A former model himself and now a photographer. He seems like a really fun person and always gushes over the latest male model who posed for him. Lately he's obsessed with Twitterpic.

This one he took just the other night of Doutzen at a party:

Well, well. Finally done. That was it. Apart from surfing the internet, I cleaned my room. So even though it doesn't seem much like it, I've been sort of productive today ;)

And damn Micachu are much more fun than I thought. Listening to them right now and will do so more in the future.
