Spike Jonze made a short film for Vodka's Absolut
You can find the film in its entirety on YouTube but split up in 3 parts
First part here
There's also a website that's really cool. You enter a cinema and it says when the film is going to play. Right now the theatre is full and the next screening is in 40 minutes :)

'{WE LOVE YOU SO#.
Try not to cry
I want to watch it all over again!
I'm leaving in about an hour. It's raining and I need to carry two plastic bags in my hand, one really big, my satchel, my black tube thingy containing sheets of paper and my big red backpack. This seems even worse than going on holiday! It's like I'm moving out. So many things I need to take with me!

.(I KNOW WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE~\
Finally I saw it!!! :DD And I love it! Just how I imagined it to be! And I had to laugh so many times, those wild things are sooo funny, especially Alexander! And the music, whooooo! I had heard the soundtrack by Karen O before seeing the movie so I already knew it, but seeing it together with the images was even better. Fitted so well with the scenes. It's a good example of a film that knows how to put music to great use. And that scene near the end, almost brought me to tears. Bittersweet. And the last shot, perfect. Perfect. Just how I like it. And the opening scene, they freeze and show the title. Brilliant. And the camera moves so fast when they run, and the light at the beach and in the forrest. And the great set. I felt so sorry for Max. I feel like I'm still him sometimes but then at age 23. Life can be said and so much you can't and will probably never fully understand. By the way, Mark Ruffalo, I did not recognize you!

!{A COLLECTION OF WILD THINGS+'
I'm not going to watch these 'cause I happen to basically have no idea what exactly the story is about other than this kid and his huge imagination which gets him in contact with these creatures called the wild things. It could be that that's all there is and that I happen to have actually told you the entire story just right now. I don't know. But something tells me there's way more to tell than the info I just gave you. Like I said, I basically have no clue what this film is about and I don't want to know. I want to find out when I see Spike Jonze's version of the story at the cinema. But for those of you who are interested I've been looking for some previous adaptations of the book on YouTube and found some clips. They include stop-motion animation as well as hand drawn shorts.
There's even a cool Playmobil version LOL I'll watch it once I've seen the Spike Jonze movie! :))
Early demonstration video by Disney using characters from Where The Wild Things Are
I might go and see Handsome Furs tomorrow night at Paradiso, one fifth of Wolf Parade in Amsterdam, I need to show some support!
PS: Tegan And Sara's new album Sainthood is very good and maybe even better than their last one The Con. I used to not want to like them and it took me a long time to get over myself, but I really like them now especially Sara's voice. That is, I think it's Sara's voice. Those two are very identical. ;) Anyway, new album is worth checking out, lots of fun and catchy songs. My favourite right now is the second song on the album called Don't Rush.

%$ALL IS LOVE_(
I'm listening to Karen O And The Kids' soundtrack for Spike Jonze's (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation) upcoming picture Where The Wild Things Are. So far it's very light and fun giving you the mood as if you're on this huge adventure :) I can imagine ships at sea and exciting travels to unknown lands. It really sparks my imagination. So I'm even more excited for the film now. It's going to be so sweet. This is one of those films I would just want to go and see wearing my pyjamas and bringing a stuffed animal with me as company. Perhaps I might just go and do that :D It's going to be so cute, the little boy in me will be all smiles!

(@WILD THING+}
Not sure if it will be good, but at least the lighting seems to be exquisite. For that alone I will go and watch it at the cinema! Plus, can't go wrong with Arcade Fire in the trailer, purrrfect!Everything looks so much fun and uber cute! From the poster to Max's suit. I want one just like him, I would walk around in it all day :)) And look the kid wears Chucks, YES!
Here's a preview of a test scene they did featuring a different kid. Notice how Max's suit looks different. It still gives a good preview of how the wild things will end up looking. Better get used to seeing those wild things talk!
