}:COULDN'T SLEEP%/

Ughhh I did not sleep well today, my eyes opened around 5.50 and then I could not get back to sleep. I stayed in my bed though and after a while decided that if I was going to lie in my bed anyway I'd better lie there while listening to some music so I turned on my laptop and started playing Tegan and Sara's The Con. Yesterday I was thinking to stay home today watch a movie draw/paint/make collages, but because I was awake so early I suddenly feel like going out so I'll take the train to Amsterdam later and head into a museum. I like museums I really do. I feel it's the kind of place where none of those constantly shopping teenagers and twenty/thirty year olds go. Not that there's anything wrong with shopping, but I feel it's all some people do in their free time. Like on a Saturday, what shall we do? Go shopping! NO That's why I really like going to school on Saturday 'cause it makes me feel I really have something interesting and worthy to do.

If you havent checked out Contemporary Art Daily yet I can so recommend you to go there, I truly believe it's one of the best sites on art out there and perhaps really THE best. For once I'm not overreacting! :) And their range is so broad, really makes me believe everything is possible and helps me get things into perspective. I should e-mail them to send my regards

Saw this picture on The Sartorialist. Simple and chic.

A good example that good fitting clothes already make for a really strong outfit

Chris Keating I love you, see you soon :D

Just the other day my mum told me I should try putting red laces into my Doc Martens after I changed them from black laces to white. Would give me even more of an edge she said. I was a bit skeptical and kind of brushed it off. But now I see the following pictures from the General Idea runway show and those boots with red laces look damn good, so I think I'm gonna find myself a pair and do the same. So fashion forward my mother is ;)

Overall this collection is very good. Nice to see those long john/tights kind of jeans/trousers combined with shorts. Ive been doing that for quite a while :) Would love to have some long johns/tights with a nice print though, but where to find those?

You know when you start listening to an album just out of curiosity and without any expectations at all and then the album turns out to be crazy good. This is what happened to me and the latest Pantha Du Prince album Black Noise. The entire album has such a nice sound, love it from beginning to end. Great mood. Only one song with vocals by Animal Collective's Panda Bear, and it kind of feels as if this whole album is build around this one song. It's strange how similar all these tracks sound and yet they still manage to set themselves apart and stand on their own. I'll be having this on repeat for a couple of days more I bet.

Now let's go paint and not get anywhere near Chat Roulette!!!!!!!

!{A COLLECTION OF WILD THINGS+'

I'm not going to watch these 'cause I happen to basically have no idea what exactly the story is about other than this kid and his huge imagination which gets him in contact with these creatures called the wild things. It could be that that's all there is and that I happen to have actually told you the entire story just right now. I don't know. But something tells me there's way more to tell than the info I just gave you. Like I said, I basically have no clue what this film is about and I don't want to know. I want to find out when I see Spike Jonze's version of the story at the cinema. But for those of you who are interested I've been looking for some previous adaptations of the book on YouTube and found some clips. They include stop-motion animation as well as hand drawn shorts.

There's even a cool Playmobil version LOL I'll watch it once I've seen the Spike Jonze movie! :))

I might go and see Handsome Furs tomorrow night at Paradiso, one fifth of Wolf Parade in Amsterdam, I need to show some support!

PS: Tegan And Sara's new album Sainthood is very good and maybe even better than their last one The Con. I used to not want to like them and it took me a long time to get over myself, but I really like them now especially Sara's voice. That is, I think it's Sara's voice. Those two are very identical. ;) Anyway, new album is worth checking out, lots of fun and catchy songs. My favourite right now is the second song on the album called Don't Rush.
