The light is so beautiful outside. I have to make use of it soon.
Yesterday I was in Amsterdam and it started raining so hard my parents and I decided to take shelter from the rain and wait a while before continuing walking to the train station to head back home. No rain today.
Just watched La Fille Du RER. I love and I hate movies. Hate because they show me everything I'm not and I'm afraid I'll never be.
Anyway, riding back on my bike still having the feeling of the film in me, buying some groceries at the supermarket. Everything seemed alright. So simple and peaceful. It's hard when you feel so creative sometimes with all these ideas in your head but you know you need some people to help you out to bring those images to life. People I have to direct to construct that image I have in mind. You have a vision, an idea that you want to get out, but you can't. It's been like this for such a long time. I'm tired of it.

I just found out Émilie Dequenne who plays the main character in La Fille Du RER is Rosetta! I haven't seen that film, but apparently I had seen this girl's face many times before without knowing. She looks so different in this. Didn't know she had so much experience already. And I kept thinking this was probably her first big role. Surprising.

These white boots apparently are Dr. Martens boots. Feel free to buy them for me. I love how long they are and they're white! Don't remember where I got this picture from. But it seems to me the guy wearing the boots could be model Will Lewis. There aren't that many long haired male models. And yes male models sometimes wear dresses. So don't think those boots are women shoes, they're not. :)



The lovely and gorgeous Coco Rocha for H&M Spring collection. Nice pictures for an H&M ad campaign. I really like this one. It's a simple picture, but I guess that's why I like it so much. Just Coco's posture, the brigh colours. Very spring/summer.

^$HEADBANDS AND GOSSIP+_

I just basically need to stop reading texts and start writing these extra parts for my thesis which my supervisor wants me to write. Have been reading all day. Maybe I'm going to do some drawing in some minutes. Is what I did last night after reading, was very calming and relaxing. And fun of course too. Just imagining myself wearing all these crazy clothes and then drawing it. Perhaps I should become a designer?? I was reading about this kid, a young designer last night who planned to be an actor first but then switched realizing he was more interested in the costumes than in the performing. This kid is JW Anderson, he's Irish and coincidentally today Men's Rag posted the collection I was looking at last night. Lately I've been having a thing for headbands. So far I haven't found a shop where you can buy them, so I better make my own. I actually already did. Anyway, Mr. Anderson likes them too. These pictures are great by the way. It's like they're all covered with smoke. Makes them look so mysterious and ancient. Like they're from a different era.

And Gossip. I never checked them out. For a while I even started to think Beth Ditto was British, although I knew the band were from the US. But I have a feeling they're far more popular in the UK than anywhere else. Their new song Heavy Cross is really cool. Love Ditto's voice. So powerful. The video is very nice as well. Very golden.

If I find the time I might go and attend the Arnhem Fashion Biennale which is taking place at the moment. Maybe even as a volunteer and get free clothing to wear! Would be cool :D

+}MEN'S RAG>!

It's early Saturday morning, I feel like writing. One of my objectives today is to finish reading Virginia Woolf's The Waves, 'cause I haven't finished yet. It's not an easy read and at times I'm more into it than at other moments so every now and then I decide to read some pages a second time.
After weheartit.com became a new favourite site of mine I bookmarked it immediately and it ended up there with my usual websites I visit on a daily basis. However, weheartit.com ended up less addictive than I thought it would be so I pretty quickly got over it after first 'hearting' images intensively. Recently I replaced weheartit.com for a site called Men's Rag, which shows you the latest collection of fashion labels some I had never even heard of. It's a site for men so they only post images of men's clothing. It's very nice and gets you a lot of inspiration. It might lead people to buy these clothes, but I for one don't have that much money or maybe I do, but I like to spend it on cheaper clothing. :) And not too long ago I've apparently been bit by the fashion bug. Ever since getting these new black boots my sense for style has increased tremedously. Of course sites such as Lookbook.nu, Streetpeeper.com, TheSartorialist.com, TheFacehunter.org and melbournestreetfashion.com have influenced this as well as have my daily visitings of the sites Models.com which shows you the latest news about models, but also a lot of pictures from new photoshoots that appear in magazines. The only negative thing about Models.com is that I've ended up watching a lot of symmetrical faces every single day which after a while does result in you thinking everyone looks like that when of course that's not the case. :)
