*:MY LITTLE INDIAN BOY+.

He has a voice that has been heard by so many, that has touched so many, that has such a rich and unique sound and then to hear that voice live, right in front of you, coming out of this tiny body. He seems so sweet and sincere when he performs. I had the feeling he looked at me multiple times. Okay, let's be clear, his eyes are kind of off. So you can't really tell, but it did look as if he looked in my direction! :D The set was so big. There were these wonderful animations on huge screens, beautiful lighting and all band members wore really nice fantasy like costumes with long weaves of cloth hanging down their arms. It was like a fairytale. I'd wish I had another set of eyes for me to see, because there was just too much going on to see it all. I was standing in the middle, but completely at the front. I know it would have been better to keep distance so that I would have been able to get a complete view of the entire stage, but I just wanted to be close to the guy. To see him real near me. He's special this kid. I'd wish I had been there on Wednesday, then I could have decided to go again the following day and could have kept that distance to see the performance again from a different point of view. Jónsi sang some new songs but a lot of songs from his album Go as well. One new song in particular I really liked. It had Jónsi playing the piano and the drummer making sounds with objects, like scratching on this metal kind of thing or maybe it was iron, don't know, I'm not an expert when it comes to that kind of thing ;) He also did my favourite Lilikoi Boy but Animal Arithmetic really felt as the highlight of the evening for me. And that moment when the guys leave the stage and they come back and Jónsi is wearing a Indian feather hat or a warbonnet as they are called was so magical. It was like he reincarnated himself or something, transformed himself in this beautiful happy kid so colourful. It really moved me. It just spoke of so much joy. Overall I felt like I was standing in the middle of an art installation. I loved also seeing people around me look around them in wonder, like little kids going to, I don't know, the cinema for the first time, a museum or even a zoo maybe. Fascinated by all that's going on around them and to see them trying to grab it, make sense of it, but unable to, because it's gigantic and constantly moving and activating all senses simultaneously. Jónsi might be coming to the Lowlands festival but so far there has been no confirmation. All I know is that he's going to perform at a festival in Belgium which is not too far away from here and some bands playing that festival are also coming to Lowlands, so who knows. If he does I'll see him again for sure even though I doubt they bring the entire set with them, but I bet that even without the set Jónsi and his band are still able to create some magic.

I took a couple of pictures, not too many. During one song that started a but quietly I took a picture and you heard the noise my camera makes so I was like, oops, sorry, won't be doing that again! 'Cause as soon as he appeared on stage first time people immediately started to take pictures. The person next to me had a camera that made quite a loud noise and you could feel the people around getting a little bit tense because of it :P

By the way, supporting act Glasser looks very promising. I loved the energy of the singer

^;I'D RATHER LIVE IN DREAMS AND I'D RATHER DIE.|

And this one song gotta be heard! The entire album is good as well. Love the song and the lyrics

Oooo what to wear tonight. I knew what I was going to wear but it might be way too hot in there. Can't I just go naked???

=$ÁRA BÁTUR(+

I'm listening to Sigur Rós right now and already I feel a bit scared. I wasn't even feeling sad or anything, but now... I took sort of a nap and when I awoke I found myself in Ára Bátur and apparently sometimes I don't want to be alone while listening to Ára Bátur. And my head fills up with thoughts about tomorrow and tomorrow will be another day all by myself. And it's not like I'm constantly all by myself, when I go to work it's nice 'cause I get to talk to people, but it seems that isn't the same as really being with someone and right now I do feel really alone. I'll miss going to school on Saturday. In a couple of months I'll go there every day, but it's still a bit far away. There's still an entire summer vacation to survive. And I'm not that good with summer vacations. Always makes me feel the entire world is going on vacation with family or hangs out with friends, except for me. It always feels like such an effort not to end up feeling like I'm the one left all by himself.
So this is what Jónsi & co. do to me. I probably won't cry tonight 'cause that never happened to me before so I'm not expecting it to happen ever, not even tonight. Though it's said to be rather epic and very magical. I can't wait to see it but I have a feeling it would be nice if a lot of people would be able to hold my hand tonight even just for one song

The sun's not helping either you know, days like these are meant to be rainy days. Last Sunday seeing Joanna was perfect 'cause it was raining and I felt like I could hide, but today. No shelter

<#YOU NEVER GET NERVOUS ANYMORE_=

Last night after work I had to run like a crazy person to catch my train. And right after I jumped in the doors closed behind me. All the fault of this woman who decided to agree with doing the survey. She was going to be the last person I would call that night and I kept my fingers crossed hoping she would say no but the fool said yes. Hopefully tonight it will be a no and I don't have to run.

Os Gêmeos, I posted about them before once. Now look at what they did to this building in Lisboa

!}I KILLED MY DINNER WITH KARATE[.

It's another rainy morning, which I like, so much better than a sunny day. Makes me feel calm and safe. Like you can hide yourself in the gloomy air. Yesterday I had a wonderful evening seeing Joanna Newsom perform with her band as well as Mr. Roy Harper who had the pleasure of opening the night with his brilliant guitar playing and storytelling way of singing, took the audience into his wonderful world of stories about war, the sun and the moon, and he and his woman. Mr. Harper looks like such a kind, warm, gentle person. A very charming man and I loved his facial expressions. You can see he plays with love and is passionate about his art. Joanna and her band were wonderful as well. Joanna seems very free spirited and came on stage with such enthusiasm. Like Mr. Harper she too plays with so much love and devotion. I loved how when just after she appeared and she finished her last sentence she immediately and quite unexpectedly started her first song of the evening which left me with no time to inhale another fresh breath of air before the start of the song. So the entire song my mouth was left open astonished by the beauty that had all of a sudden filled the space. It was truly magical and very very special. The band added so much, giving it a kind of theatrical feel sometimes sounding almost like those old radio plays you used to hear on the radio where a story is being told and sound comes in to enrich the words. Each song started with just Joanna on harp or piano and then as the song progressed ('cause you know, most of her songs are pretty long, like a journey) the other instruments joined in and brought the song even more to life. But I really loved how they kept the songs dynamic, going from parts with lots of instruments to quieter moments with just Joanna and the harp/piano. I also loved how during some songs three of the musicians used their hands to make clapping sounds and to me the banjo is always a welcome addition. Nothing but love for the banjo! ;) It was unlike any other concerts I've been to, 'cause usually I stand and look up at the stage whereas now I was seated with the result that the stage was on eye level, making for a competely different perception from what I'm used to. The sound was perfect, so clear, flawless. And you could notice people sitting in awe and some carefully drying those tears running down their cheeks. I'm now looking forward to seeing Jónsi even more. I've heard a lot of great things about him as well so on Thursday I'm in for another night full of magic. And its not even my birthday

No pictures from the concert. I think you weren't allowed to or maybe not allowed to flash, but this was so special I didn't want to ruin anything for the people sitting next to me by taking pictures all the time and making clicking camera sounds. So here's a non-related image instead ;)

@=MURDER ME RACHAEL, I'VE MADE A MISTAKE"+

Awake way too early. Just bought my Jónsi ticket :P

jónsi - go do (live on late late show with craig ferguson) from Jónsi on Vimeo.

It will be a depressing couple of weeks when it comes to gigs. First The Antlers, then Beach House + jj, Joanna Newsom and last but not least Jónsi. I'd better make myself a really big tissue 'cause I'll be crying like a hurricane

I think I'll sell my Two Door Cinema Club ticket (!) and see them first time on Lowlands instead. Just to save a bit of money. Jónsi and Joanna don't come cheap you know ;)
