>(SHORT FROM INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS_+

In Inglourious Basterds the character played by Daniel Brühl can be seen in the film that's having its premiere at the cinema of the character played by Mélanie Laurent. This film is called Stolz Der Nation and thanks to Awards Daily I can now share the film in its entirety :)

Every film student knows why the part with the baby in the stroller is so amazing. It's like an inside joke. I love that about Tarantino :D

Do designers ever donate their clothing to poor boys like me?
Or anyone has 620 dollars to spare?
'Cause that's the price on this lovely Chronicles Of Never oblique coat

I need a sugar daddy :D

Those shoes are really nice as well btw, look at those soles, they go so well together with the black

%@SAW BASTERDS AND IT'S GOOD_+

Inglourious Basterds is so much fun! Go see it. The dialogue is great and Christolph Waltz as Col. Hans Landa is really as good as everyone says he is so I'd say they did a great thing by giving him the prize for best actor in Cannes. Charlotte Gainsbourg's choice for best actress for Antichrist not so much. She was good, but I didn't feel her performance was that great. Perhaps they let her win because she does things not every actress would dare to do or maybe there just wasnt a better female performance to choose from.
Tarantino in my opinion always delivers. When you go see one of his movies you know what to expect. I always like how he builds up a scene. He really takes the time to let it develop towards a satisfying climax like one scene at a bar in which Diane Kruger's character is introduced for the first time. Having seen the trailer I expected Brad Pitt to be really annoying because of his accent, but I loved his character. The film is filled with stereotypes, some which will make you laugh real hard. Overall it's very witty and clever. One of the most enjoyable films I've seen so far this year.

%#ANTICHRIST LAST NIGHT BASTERDS IN ONE HOUR&

I attempt to see Inglourious Basterds again in some minutes. Hope it's not sold out.
Saw Antichrist last night. First half the only great thing about the film was Charlotte Gainsbourg yellow rain coat. I didn't think the cinematography is that great as people say it is. But I guess it just has to do with my taste. Slow-motion sequences like in this film, making the image seem like a moving painting, are not my thing. The film is heavy in symbolism and I felt the first half only gained importance when things are revealed during the final minutes of the film. I already kind of gave up on it by then, thinking it would not be likely that I would want to see the film ever again. But as things are explained a bit more and the story becomes more layered, the whole thing became really interesting again and had me thinking whereas in the beginning I felt there was no suspense at all or food for thought. I don't understand what all the fuzz is about though about it being so explicitly violent and stuff. Yes there are like two scenes that are very tough to watch for some people because of the things that occur in it. But Martyrs, for example is much more gory.

>=AWAY WE GO|]

I was going to watch Inglourious Basterds last night. It was the first time it was playing but I thought I would be okay at this one cinema where it's usually never that crowded. But this time, however, it was completely full. The end of the cue was outside on the street and when it finally was my turn the film had already sold out long time ago. So instead I went to see Away We Go which I wanted to see for a while already as well. First I didn't have that much interest in seeing it but that changed apparently and for the last couple of days it had been at the top of my 'movies I want to see the most'-list. Sam Mendes is best known for American Beauty and recently did the great Revolutionary Road. This one film is completely different. Some people will complain saying it's another one of those hipster indie feel good flicks like Juno or Little Miss Sunshine. True, there's the road trip with the frequent interludes of singer songwriter guitar music. But you can't help falling in love with these characters which are wonderfully played by the two leads. Especially Maya Rudolph who is probably best known for her work on Saturday Night Live is so gentle and brings such a calmth to her character. She had me completely. It's a beautiful performance. If I was the one handing out Oscars at the beginning of next year I would give her one. The only one outshining her is Maggie Gyllenhaal who has a small but very memorable role. Just the other day I watched The Hangover and I must say I'd choose Away We Go over that one anytime. I'm not saying I really disliked The Hangover but it's slightly overrated. One of the characters is so dumb it's not even funny. I much more prefer well written characters with character traits that make you laugh because they're so recognizable. Yes, some of the characters, like Maya Rudolph's former boss or John Krasinski's parents, are a bit over the top, perhaps trying a little bit too much, but they were really funny and characters I could identify with. Apart from that this film has some real substance, it's not all jokes. It's about two people realizing they've reached the moment in their life they'll be starting a real family but who aren't quite sure yet if they're up for it. I love that they go on a trip to meet friends or family and see the families they have and eventually they realize that there's no such thing as a perfect family and you just have to do it your way and see what happens. There's no textbook that teaches you how to do it. So by the end of last night I wasn't that disappointed for not having seen the basterds in action. I will soon probably. And perhaps on Monday I'll go check out a preview screening of Lars Von Trier's Antichrist :D
